Let’s Talk Teaware | T2 Jug-A-Lot (1.2 Litre) | Review

Hey there Teacups! I’m changing things up a little bit today with a Let’s Talk teaware post its been a while since I’ve done one of these and in the past few months I picked up some amazing pieces that I really want to share with you all. The first of those new pieces I want to share with you all is my brand new T2 Jug-A-Lot. I don’t know why it took me so long to treat myself to one of these because I’ve wanted one for as long as I can remember. I went for their small (1.2 litre) red jug as at the time I bought it they were also selling an adorable glass spoon with a little apple on it and I’m a huge sucker for things that match. If you love cold brewed tea as much as I do (and I know you all do) then you absolutely need one of these in your life and I’m going to use todays post to tell you exactly why.

One thing I love about T2 aside from their teas and tisanes of course is their teaware. They don’t drop the ball at all and I’m proud of myself for having enough will power to hold back on filling the house with it all. Before I got this iced tea jug I spent months telling my finance and the staff in the Meadowhall store that I wanted one and that I was going to treat myself but this for some reason went on for months on end (I often feel bad for spending money on myself so it takes a lot for me to decide on buying things). When I did finally buy one and I used it for the first time I was so annoyed with myself for not buying one earlier. It’s been a few months since I got mine and I think I’ve used it every day since without fail.

I’ve always loved iced tea and before getting this Jug I could only really make a cup at a time in with the teaware I had but since getting this I’ve been able to make 1.2 litres of this at a time and it normally will last me a full day. I’ve also been able to be so much more creative when putting drinks together and It’s helped me to try so many more teas and tisanes cold brewed than I ever could have. I’ve taken to making matcha lattes in this recently and they have really helped to lift my energy on days when I’m not feeling well, and my migraines have taken over. If you loved iced/cold brewed tea then you would be silly not to buy yourself one of these, this is the only this I have ever treated myself to that I haven’t felt guilt about buying afterwards (and that’s huge for me).

The sleek new design of this T2 favourite is as practical as it is attractive. With a square bottom it fits perfect into fridge doors, while the air tight lid prevents spills and locks in freshness. Tough and strong with glass like clarity, The Jug-A-Lot doesn’t stain or hold odours. You can even stand it on its lid and it won’t leak.

Features Include:
– A completely airtight twist-top lid | My favourite features because you could use it for picnics, take it to the beach or have it out on a table at a party without fear of spilling.

– AcraGlass ™ is BPA free

– Stain, Cloud and Odour Proof | While the actual jug doesn’t hold stains I have found over months of daily use my infuser has developed a few stains. It’s nothing that can’t be fixed by a bit of elbow grease and a run through the dishwasher though.

– Removeable Rotating Infuser | For the size of the jug this is a reasonably sized infuser that could hold quite a lot of tea or fruit depending on what you want to infuse.

– Dishwasher Safe | I’ve tested that, and it doesn’t affect anything.

This jug does also come in a larger size of 2.5 litres but as it knew it was only going to be me that would drink iced and cold brewed teas in my house that there was no point going for the bigger one. I’m very glad I made that decision because I love that this one fits so perfectly into my fridge door and takes up hardly any space. Also, I’m an extremely clumsy person so the fact that it is virtually impossible to spill anything with this is amazing. It will only pour if you have the lid open right and without being lined up properly it won’t let anything out (That helps a clumsy woman like me a lot).

When making iced tea in the 1.2L one I use between 5-9 scoops of tea/tisane depending on the ingredients because I like my iced tea strong and rather than make it hold and pour it over ice I prefer to cold brew overnight so all you have to do to cold brew is fill the jig with cold water screw in the infuser and leave it in the fridge overnight. It really is that easy to use.

I’m honestly so glad I made the decision to by this it was well worth it’s price and I can see my self using it daily for a long long time. It’s taken my cold brewing to a whole new level and I’m so thankful for that and with summer coming its going to get even more use than it already does. If you’re like me and your holding back on buying yourself one of these treat yourself to one of these before the hotter months even after that it will be more than worth the price you pay.

  1. Wicked! What is your fav cold brew tea? I really love lemongrass, but I like the ‘Very Berry’ from Whittard of Chelsea as well.

  3. Can you explain how you use the jug to make iced tea? How many scoops? How long do you let it seep for? I can find information for the 2l jug but not the 1.2l and thought this information would be part of your review. Thanks!

    1. Hey so sorry I didn’t put all of that info in my review for the small jug I use 5-9 scoops depending on the tea or tisane I am cold brewing but I love iced tea strong. To make iced tea cold brew overnight as I find it results in a better flavour. So you just fill the jug with cold water screw in the infuser with the tea/tisane and stick it in the fridge overnight. I’ll edit this review now and add this info to help others that might want to know.
