We’re Re-branding!

Hey Everyone! Thanks for sticking with me while I took a little bit of a break after posting non-stop for two weeks for the Japanese Tea Marathon. I’m back today with a little bit of an update and I’m really hoping that you will all be just as excited as I am about this update as it’s been something I have wanted to do for a while.

So as you can probably see from the title of today’s post we’re going to be re-branding! So the blog name will be changing and all of my social platforms will be changing as well. I’ll also be getting a new logo that I can not wait to show you all as soon as the artist who is doing it has finished it all up. I’ve seen the first sketches and I think that this logo is going to be my favourite one yet and I was able to have a say into every little detail which the artist has captured perfectly.

While I know that it must seem to all of you like this change has come from nowhere it has been in my mind now for a long time. I started Tea Is A Wish Your Heart Makes many years ago and at the time I was blogging about both tea and Disney in tandem which is why the name fitted what I was doing perfectly as it combined two things that I have loved for such a long time. However it’s been a long time now that I have blogged about anything Disney here on this blog and the tea truly took over as my passion for it grew.

So now that name doesn’t really fit as well with the content I create and the content I want to focus on creating in the future. Things will be changing up a little bit with content but not too much so favourites will be sticking around. Tisanes will probably no longer end up being featured here on the blog going forward and will instead only be featured on my social media platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok. Flavoured tea blends will be being featured a lot less, that’s not to say they won’t be featured at all but they will be featured a lot less. Let’s Talk Tea & Stateside Steeps will be sticking around but I’m going to be trying to move away from doing so many reviews here on the blog, but I’ll be doing mini reviews on my socials. Tea Together Tuesday will now also only be featured on my socials once it returns in September.

I want to focus more on Japanese teas going forward; as you all know they are the teas I love the most and I want to continue to highlight Japan and their teas / tea culture. After learning lots more about the industry in Japan and how they are struggling at the moment in a multitude of different ways, I want to make it my aim to help more and more people learn about Japanese teas and just how unique they and provide a completely different experience that teas from anywhere else in the world, so a new series will probably starting so you can all find those posts under one name. Matcha Monday & Matcha Monday Masterclasses will both be sticking around as I love those series and I can link them to helping people learn more about Japanese teas. So if there is anything at all that you would love to learn about when it comes to Japanese tea let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to make a note of that and feature it at some point.

I do hope that you’ll all stick with me even though things are changing here on the blog! If anything the content will probably be even better than what I do now because I’ll be so much more passionate about the subjects I’ll be writing about. While I have definitely enjoyed doing reviews over the years and introducing you all to so many tea companies large and small, I’ve been starting to get a little bit burnt out with them and the passion I had for the reviews before hand is dissipating, like I said reviews will still be present here on my blog but there will not be as many as there has been. Because I want to carry on my blog for many years to come, if I were to box myself into just reviews I could see my blog not existing for much longer and that’s definitely not how I want things to go and these changes will stop that from happening.

I’m also not going to be posting an official posting schedule anywhere this time around mostly because I feel like I set myself up for failure when I do that as often my health problems get in the way and I have to skip posting on days when everyone is expecting me to post because they know my posting schedule. Going forward I’m just going to be posting whenever I want to and whenever my pain levels are low enough to allow me to work on content. I hate that living with chronic migraine gets in the way of my working on content I truly love creating, but there isn’t much I can do about that right now and I have to work around it and take breaks when my body has had enough. But, I should still be able to post regularly and I think that the drive and passion that I have for this new content I am about to start creating will definitely help me out in that respect. If you think you might be able to guess what the new blog name is going to be stick them in the comments as I would love to hear your guesses and see if any of you can tell the kind of direction I am aiming to go with my blog.

Update Coming Soon!

Until then, Happy Steeping – Kimberley
